The Department of the Navy Rapid Capabilities Office, DONRCO, was established to drive the rapid delivery of transformative solutions to the Department's hardest operational problems. The office serves as the DON's single accountable organization for rapid delivery to the Fleet.
With a focus on providing capabilities in weeks to months rather than months to years, DONRCO reimagines mature technologies and adapts emerging technologies and unconventional concepts to ensure the Navy can deter conflict and win decisively– now and in the future. DONRCO serves as a front door to industry and new private sector partners to quickly deliver solutions to warfighters at the speed of relevance.
Mission: Rapidly deliver innovative warfighting capabilities to the fleet by integrating emerging technologies, fostering industry partnerships, and employing agile acquisition strategies to maximize operational impact at pace and scale.
Vision: Set the standard for military innovation by rapidly transitioning new ideas and technologies into decisive operational advantage for the Navy and Marine Corps within zero to three years.
